When Jessie arrived at Focus 360, more than three years had passed since his last job. Without a high school diploma, he questioned whether employers would see his potential. Still, one thought kept him moving forward: his children deserved his best effort.
As Jessie settled into the program, he worked closely with his facilitator, Jackie Seals, to rebuild more than a résumé. Together, they strengthened his employment portfolio, explored his long-term goal of earning an HVAC certification, and took inventory of the skills he had gained through years of hands-on work.

Highly motivated, he applied to employers with purpose and soon began receiving interview invitations. His persistence led him to Russ Bassette Fine Furniture, where he accepted a position as a Woodshop Apprentice.
